The nanny hired and fired by Mariah Carey is reportedly suing her former employer.

According to Daily News, the former nanny claims that Mariah required her to work 100-hour work weeks but refused to pay her for the overtime.

Simonette Da Costa states in papers filed in the Manhattan federal court on Wednesday that she started working for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon back in October, 2013.

While working as the live-in nanny, the report claims that her assigned duties went far beyond the boundaries of the home shared by Mariah Carey and her now-estranged husband.

“She attended to their needs not only at home, but also during Ms. Carey’s travels for her global concerts and appearances… She was on call 24 hours a day. She was always at their beck and call.”

According to the suit, Da Costa was also working “behind the scenes” by Mariah Carey’s side.

The former nanny was paid between $6,000 and $7,200 each month to care for Carey’s fraternal twins, Monroe and Moroccan. However, she claims that she was not paid any overtime for her extensive work schedule.

The suit further claims that Da Costa was not entitled to breaks, meals or even sleep since she was considered on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

“Ms. Carey would often call [Da Costa] at hours in the middle of the night and demand to be taken to her children or to be updated on the status of her children. Ms. Carey would not tolerate any delay when she called and [Da Costa] had to attend to her every demand, spontaneous or otherwise.”

According to Da Costa, she was fired in January, 2014, after being berated by Mariah Carey for “expressing too much affection for their children.”

Da Costa’s lawyer, Eli Freedberg, states that Mariah Carey was apparently “jealous” of his client’s relationship with Mariah’s children.

He claims that Carey was concerned about her children becoming confused about which woman was their mother.

Based on his own estimates, the estranged couple owe Da Costa nearly $100,000 in damages.

In response to the allegations, an official rep for Mariah Carey states, “We don’t comment on frivolous lawsuits.”

This is not the first time that the new Las Vegas performer has been sued recently by a former employee. In December, Mariah was accused of cheating former longtime employee, Ylser Oliver, out of overtime for seven years.

In that pending case against Mariah Carey, Oliver claims that she worked between 10 and 16 hours daily, six to seven days a week.
