A teenage girl snapped secret selfies with David Cameron - as he tucked into a tube of Pringles on an easyJet flight.

Ashleigh, 16, was stunned to realise she and her boyfriend were seated just three seats away from the Prime Minister on a budget flight to Portugal.

The youngster tweeted: "The Prime Minister was 3 seats away from me eating Paprika Pringles. Help me."

She added: "Guys, I'm crying he was eating Pringles."

Mr Cameron, who was accompanied by bodyguards, was seemingly engrossed in his crisps and his iPad as Ashleigh took a cheeky selfie from across the aisle.

Mr Cameron has been holidaying with his family on the Algarve, but returned to the UK to attend VJ day commemorations at the weekend.

But not even the commemorations could keep him from his chillaxing break for long.

He's already refused to break his holiday in the face of a worsening asylum seeker crisis in Calais, protests in central London and transport worker strikes crippling the capital.

Last week, the Prime Minister was treated for an ear infection in Portugal, picked up while surfing.

Some expressed surprise at the Prime Minister's choice of airline - tweeting that "times must be hard for the UK" - Mr Cameron is a frequent flier with easyJet.

He and his wife Samantha used the budget airline to fly to their Portuguese getaway in 2013.
